The Power BI /MSBI Expert will be in charge of
Developing PowerBI reports using on premise PowerBI desktop or PowerBI cloud, with DAX and MDX languages.
Designing dashboards for Business Financial Reviews with data visualization features; a key objective for harmonization and rationalization of reporting.
Building excel reporting packs based on Microsoft SSAS cube
Leading workshops with users, mainly Controllers, in French or in English.
Translating Business Expert functionnal requirements into technical specifications
Designing models of Microsoft SSAS cube for next versions or evolution of the existing model
Defining and performing tests, always checking alignment with EPM Project
Permanently liaising with IT teams and EPM team so as to guaranty end to end synchronisation of data between EPM and BI tools
Providing technical support to users on demand or participating in the weekly support call
Supervising BI tool performance from users’ perspective
Delivering end-users’ training to newcomers or advanced sessions to current users.
Managing security rules in coordination with EPM roles and users lists.
Deliverables:
PowerBI reports or advanced dashboards; reporting packs made available on PowerBI server.
Excel reporting packs based on MSBI cube, delivered to users.
Technical specifications of the cube for new models (next versions) or for enhancement to the existing model
Cube models using ad-hoc methodology and visualization
Training and Support delivered to users; training material, videos and webinars posted on plaza.
Acceptance test plan, test results and validation.
Expected skills:
The Power BI/MSBI Expert is specialized in BI and reporting technologies of Microsoft frameworks
6+ years of experience in PowerBI development
Experience in Microsoft BI solutions (SSAS, SSIS, SSRS), data modelling, cube development
Proficiency in various aspects of BI or EPM solutions, reporting, Finance, database performance, data migration, database design, architecture
Experience in projects lead in Agile mode
Experience in Software Architecture and Data Management
Proficient in Technical Solution Design
Strong commitment in planning and follow up
Fluent English
